Who is Marcia Reynolds?
Marcia Reynolds, PsyD, is a master certified coach, bestselling author, and in-demand professional speaker. In addition to coaching executives in multi-national companies, she travels around the world teaching classes in leadership and consulting on organizational change programs. She has worked within a variety of industries with clients in organizations such as Medtronic, Nokia, British Telecom and American Express, plus many agencies of the National Institute of Health.
Marcia’s doctorate is in organizational psychology. While researching why women weren’t reaching the highest rungs on the corporate ladder, she uncovered many surprising facts about the challenges and desires of today’s high-achieving women. She then developed a number of techniques that proved to be a great success with her female clients in helping them make decisions and create more emotionally-satisfying lives. The results led her to write Wander Woman: How High-Achieving Women Find Contentment and Direction.
Her earlier book, Outsmart Your Brain, has been featured in national media, including Investor’s Business Daily, Harvard Communications Newsletter, Cosmopolitan, Christian Science Monitor, Family Circle, American Way, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times. She has appeared on ABC World News, National Public Radio, and Japan Nightly News.
Reynolds is past president of the International Coach Federation (ICF). She was one of the first 25 people to earn the designation of Master Certified Coach (MCC) and was instrumental in designing the certification and accreditation programs for the ICF.
In addition to her multiple advanced degrees and decades of work experience, Marcia has a depth of understanding about human nature that she gained when she was 20 years old and living in a jail cell. She credits her “unexpected angels” with helping her discover her true sense of self and value. Her passion for making a difference in the world and in the lives of women has been alive and present in all of her work ever since she re-entered the world.
