Has your brain been hijacked?
Thursday, both my Skype account and my brain were hijacked. The day started out calmly as I went through my routine in preparation for a flight to Florida. Yet the moment I gave my brain a break, the hijacking started.
As I drove to the airport, I reran the final scene of a television program I had watched the night before. It was the cliff-hanging season finale. One of the main
Head biting
I don't know about you, but when I'm stressed you better not call me and try to sell me something or guilt me into giving my money to some cause I don't care about.
Stress makes me a head biter. I often read about the effects of stress on my body...it makes me fat, my neck hurts and I catch every cold that someone coughs my way.
What we sometimes miss is
Celebrate with me!
I just signed a contract with a major publisher to publish a book for high-achieving women based on my research and the Burden of Greatness.
I'll share pieces of the pages with you as I go along. I know I'll use some of these posts. Please comment whenever you feel the urge when share thoughts with you; I could use your insights.
Thank you for your support.
What face are you wearing?
I was late to my exercise class this morning so I couldn't work out in front of the mirror. However, from my vantage point, I could see the faces of the other women in class. There seemed to be three faces the women could wear:

You can use this tool at no cost on the www.AuthenticHappiness.org website.

It’s not all about the winning
I live in Phoenix, Arizona, home of the Arizona Cardinals football team. Karl, my life partner, is from Philadelphia. We went to the playoff game this weekend. He wore his Philadelphia Eagles hat. At the end of the game, there was a pile of cups, not all completely empty, that Cardinals fans threw at him. Where's the love man?
We like rooting for the winning team and harassing the "others." I
How to Stop Worrying
Lately, the topic of conversation has been discussing how bad the economy is going to get and debating when the sky will surely fall. So why do we worry so much more than spend time being grateful for what we have? It's primal, and men worry differently than women.
THE TENDENCIES: In my last post, I told you that women use both sides of their brains more than men when they
